# Component licenses

The original component HTML, JavaScript, CSS and integration documentation are licensed under MIT. The explanatory prose and original vector schematic elements rendered by this component are licensed under CC BY 4.0, to the extent of rights held. Attribute the work to Jackson LaSarso, link the license, and identify your changes.

The prose grant covers the approved v10 copy packet and its matching visible, fallback and accessibility text. The diagram grant covers the original vector axes, layer profile drawings and clearance marks in this component. Underlying scientific input data are excluded.

Generated tree, turbine and observer illustrations, and their appearances in posters, are excluded from these grants. Their provenance is recorded in licenses.html. Poster composites contain material with separate rights; they have no blanket license.

Source Serif 4 remains under the included SIL Open Font License 1.1. Parent research-site KaTeX assets retain their existing MIT notice. The manuscript, supplement, toolbox, scientific datasets, quotations and other third-party material are outside this component license. Existing licenses continue to cover their own material.

The v10 editorial revision replaces the introductory wording and preserves the v9 calculation and interaction code.
